• How to distinguish a Nokia 3310 original from a copy. Phone VKWorld Z3310 - a copy better than the original? Packaging and equipment

Today we are reviewing Vkworld Z3310 - a Chinese copy of another famous mobile phone, or rather its updated version. Nokia 3310 at one time gained incredible popularity in many countries around the world. After the revival of the Nokia brand, under the leadership of the HMD company, it releases an updated solution to the famous “brick”. Many Chinese manufacturers (now fellow countrymen) began to present copies of this very Nokia 3310. True, most of them were much inferior to the original. There were deficiencies in assembly, functions, and wear resistance. Only the Vkworld Z3310 phone, according to the manufacturer, managed to inherit the best properties of the original model. The creators said that the Chinese copy will be 95% identical to the famous Nokia 3310. Well, we’ll find out from the Vkworld Z3310 review how successful they were.

    or).

    Scope of delivery and design

The package includes a charger with a microUSB connector, a warranty card and an instruction manual. Everything is in the best Chinese traditions.

According to the Chinese manufacturer, Vkworld Z3310 is almost no different from the updated Nokia 3310, and in some aspects it even outperforms the original. The Vkworld Z3310 case is made entirely of plastic. The copy is noticeably larger in size than the Nokia counterpart. The camera, keyboard layout and speaker placement remain similar to the Nokia 3310.

Possible body colors: gray, yellow, orange and blue. As you can see, unlike the Nokia 3310, the Vkworld Z3310 does not have a red body color. The compact device easily fits in your hand and bag. The display is covered with durable plastic, which is noticeably curved at the edges, so the manufacturer proudly uses the “3D screen” prefix. Below the display we see the company logo – vkworld. Despite the simple design, the phone looks modern. The surface of the Vkworld Z3310 is a little glossy, however, there are no obvious fingerprints left on it.

The Vkworld Z3310 keyboard has a simple design, however, the keys do not stick and are easy to press. Russian letters are provided, so typing a message is not difficult. The buttons are large enough, letters and numbers are clearly visible, and there is a white backlight.

The back cover of Vkworld Z3310 is easy to remove. Inside we see two slots for SIM cards and one for a memory card. There is also a flashlight located on the top end (the main advantage of the phone) with a fairly bright glow, which will help out in the evening. The mobile phone is quite durable and, unlike many modern smartphones, is less susceptible to damage from falls.

According to the company, the new phone is assembled using parts from Philips, AYO, Samsung and other global brands. “Yes, seriously, didn’t you believe it?” ©

    Screen and camera

The screen is a simple 2.4-inch matrix with a resolution of 240x320 pixels. In terms of quality, the Vkworld Z3310 display is comparable to many mobile phones from the mid-00s, which many of our readers have probably seen. The pixel density per inch is a rather ridiculous 167 PPI. Text is visible quite well for an inexpensive device, there is a good amount of brightness, although it may be lacking in bright sunshine. It is clear that the colors are pale and the viewing angles are small. The display of the Vkworld Z3310 is covered with durable plastic of unknown origin - scratches will appear, but during the review of the phone we did not get a single one.

A 2 MP camera (which is actually 1.2 MP) will only be enough for the most undemanding users, and even those are unlikely to be delighted with it. The quality of the photos is worse than that of ancient mobile phones (the cheapest modern smartphone has a front camera capable of more). In addition to taking photos, it is possible to record video in 3GP. Thanks to Vkworld Z3310's support for the Bluetooth wireless interface, it is possible to transfer footage to other devices.

    Software and hardware

Vkworld Z3310 runs an incomprehensible Chinese operating system that tries to copy the original OS of Nokia phones. In some places the interface is not fully translated, and “dancing” fonts are common. The software part has been and remains the weakest point of Chinese mobile phones. However, it is quite possible to use it.

The processor installed is a little-known one – Spreadtrum 6531. The clock frequency is only 321 MHz. Vkworld Z3310 has 32 MB of RAM and the same amount of permanent memory. It is worth noting that all the memory is used by the system, so you cannot do without a card if you plan to download your own ringtones. The manufacturer indicates that the Vkworld Z3310 supports memory cards up to 8 GB, however, in our case, a 16 GB microSD was installed without any problems.

Vkworld not only produces cheap mobile phones, but is also ready to offer the most affordable frameless smartphone, which.

The set of functions is classic for a push-button phone: radio, stopwatch, calendar, calculator, calls, SMS, music player and... a snake! Even the legendary game Vkworld Z3310 took over from the famous original. Although she looks a little different and, to be honest, worse. No normal Internet for you, no popular instant messengers.

The Vkworld Z3310 player plays music really loudly, but not clearly, especially at high volume levels. It is possible to record sound on a voice recorder. The Vkworld Z3310 microphone works properly, there are no problems with speech transmission.

    Autonomy

Among the main advantages of the Vkworld Z3310, owners note a capacious 1450 mAh battery. In standby mode, the phone can hold a charge for up to two weeks. Even with active listening to the radio and playing Snake, the phone lasts for 6 days of use without additional charging. By purchasing this Vkworld Z3310, you will always stay connected to your friends, family and colleagues. Full charging time is approximately 3 hours.

Vkworld Z3310: where to buy, price

You can buy Vkworld Z3310 for a price of only 1000-1500 rubles. We were able to find the most attractive offers on AliExpress ( or).

Summary and review of Vkworld Z3310

Vkworld Z3310 has good speakers that provide loud and high-quality sound, which is important for a “dialer”, which the guest of our review is. The presence of basic applications, including FM radio, simple games, clock, calendar, flashlight, makes the model an excellent solution for undemanding users. Vkworld Z3310 is convenient to take on the road, for example, on a bus or train; it will help out where there are no outlets, but you need to be in touch. A shock-resistant and long-lasting push-button telephone will become your reliable assistant. Of course, you shouldn’t expect anything extraordinary from it, however, it copes well with the basic functions. Many users rightly consider Vkworld Z3310 one of the best economy class mobile phones.

Vkworld Z3310 turned out to be quite a worthy option for those who are not chasing all the current trends in the mobile market - just a phone that can make calls and does not ask for recharging every day. And it would be ideal as a spare phone, since the price of 1000 rubles is reasonable.

    Greetings, friends!

Today we are reviewing the VKWorld Z3310 push-button phone, which is a copy of the recently released updated Nokia 3310. I looked at the price tag of that Nokia... so it costs $55! And for VKWorld they ask for $20, and somewhere I even saw a price tag of $15 for a promotion. This is a completely different conversation. For $55 in China you can get a smartphone, a budget one, of course, but still the functionality is completely different. However, push-button phones currently have their own reasons and purposes for use, as well as advantages over smartphones. Still, they have some kind of zest and individuality that the current similar devices with large dimensions have lost. My impressions of using the VKWorld Z3310 are under the cut.

    SPECIFICATIONS

It doesn’t make much sense to talk about technical characteristics for a long time here) It’s just a dialer with a very affordable price, which means there won’t be any special requirements for it. The main thing: stability of operation, quality of GSM signal reception and quality of voice transmission. Also an important factor is battery life, because this may be one of the main reasons for purchasing this device.

    2.4-inch display with a resolution of 240 x 320;
    - 2 MP main camera with LED flash;
    - FM radio without the need to use headphones;
    - 1450 mAh battery, 2-week standby mode;
    - more than 20 languages available;

Also interesting are the differences in the technical characteristics of the clones: VKWorld Z3310 and Nokia 3310. In what areas is one superior to the other and in what areas is it inferior? Is there any point in buying the original or is it an unreasonable overpayment? The comparison table was found on the 4pda forum. It follows from this that the copy supports more GSM frequencies, has a more capacious battery and battery life, respectively. However, there are also disadvantages: a less powerful processor, smaller memory cards are supported, and the Bluetooth version is indicated as an older version. There are also noticeable differences in the dimensions of the devices: the copy is longer, wider and thicker, and the difference in weight is 23 grams. It turns out that the design was copied, but the dimensions were not respected. The rest is an equal sign.

    PACKING AND EQUIPMENT

The phone comes in a small rectangular cardboard box with a color print, just like in the good old days)

On one of the sides of the box we see funny inscriptions: “Designed by VKWorld”, as well as “Unique design by VKWorld”. Despite the fact that the manufacturer does not hide the fact that this is a copy) Even the name is borrowed, of course there is nothing unique here.

A short unboxing video from the manufacturer

Inside the box the culprit of today's review is hidden in a bag, and there is also a separate compartment for components. Although the set is quite meager.

Included with VKWorld Z3310 we have:

    Charger (5V, 0.5A) with micro-USB output
    - user manual
    - warranty card

It is worth noting that the charger has a cable integrated into it. Those. There is no separate micro-USB cable, as we have long been accustomed to.

The output voltage is 5V, and the current is only 0.5A. Hello from the past!)

    DESIGN AND ERGONOMICS

The design of VKWorld Z3310 is completely copied from the updated Nokia 3310, although not all dimensions were taken into account. There are also differences in the location of some connectors.

Possible body colors: gray, blue, yellow, orange. Bright colors clearly suit this phone; the phone immediately begins to radiate positivity.

The phone is miniature and fits elegantly in the hand, especially after the already familiar 5.5-inch shovels. There are no questions regarding assembly, the case does not creak or play. The front panel contains control buttons, a speaker and a 2.4-inch display. The display is clearly covered with plastic; there is no need to mention Gorilla Glass here. The name of the manufacturing company is displayed under the screen. They could also write Nokla, like in the good old days))

The keys have a nice short travel and press clearly. It is worth noting the presence of Russian letters.

The back panel is all-plastic, resembles an egg) It can be removed quite easily, but the original has problems with this! In order to remove the back cover of Nokia 3310 you have to break a single nail and go for a screwdriver. At the same time, dents remain on the body... (information from reviews) What can I say, Nokia is no longer the same as it was in good times. Now it’s just China, and not the best quality. On the top panel of the copy there is a camera with a flash, as well as holes for an external speaker. The surface is slightly glossy, but fingerprints are hardly noticeable.

On the bottom edge there are: a micro-USB port for charging, a 3.5 mm Jack and a microphone. Small flaws in the processing of the plastic for the hole cutouts are noticeable.

The sides of the phone are empty

On the top of the VKWorld Z3310 is installed the main weapon of the phone - a flashlight! He shines, be healthy, going a little forward)

The buttons are backlit and white. There is no unevenness in the backlighting of the keys, as was the case in VKWorldStone V3S.

Let's take a look at the “inner world” of the gadget. Inside there are two SIM card slots and a separate micro-SD memory card slot.

Also striking is the huge speaker.

The value on the battery is: 1450mah

    Battery weight: 31 grams

Weight of VKWorld Z3310 including battery: 102 grams.

    Measured dimensions of the device: 126.4 * 55.2 * 15.5 mm

    DISPLAY

The VKWorld Z3310 display has a diagonal of 2.4 inches with a resolution of 240*320 pixels, pixel density is 167ppi, brightness is 350cd/m2. The plastic covering the screen is slightly curved towards the edges. Therefore, the manufacturer decided to call it a “3D display”... It’s funny, of course)))

It is clear that the display here does not shine with color reproduction and viewing angles; individual pixels can be seen with the naked eye. This is an ordinary display for a $20 push-button dialer, there’s not much you could want from it. The same VKWorld Stone V3S was even worse than this, especially with regard to viewing angles. There, at certain angles, nothing was visible at all, but here only the picture fades into light colors.

In general, the display remains readable in the sun, although it fades quite a bit.

    SOFTWARE AND FUNCTIONALITY

The VKWorld Z3310 phone runs a homemade operating system, which is very similar to the standard Nokia OS. The interface is quite simple and logical, all the standard functionality (alarm clock, voice recorder, calculator, etc.) is present, and you can select a language. Unfortunately, it was not possible to avoid translation problems. The software part is traditionally the problem area of Chinese phones. Some words remain untranslated and are displayed in English, in some places the Russian letters dance (they have different font sizes), in some the translation is not entirely correct)

The number of missed calls and SMS is displayed on the locked screen.

The menu consists of individual large icons that fill the entire screen with submenus when clicked.

The dialer looks like this: When you enter a large number of numbers, the scale does not decrease; the numbers remain just as huge. Maybe this is even better for grandmothers) There are no questions about the buttons, they all work well.

All calls are divided into categories

It is possible to set different sound profiles and change them.

You can put mp3 on a call, you can also set separate melodies for each SIM card. Only for this you need a memory card, because there is actually no built-in memory. The 32 MB of built-in memory indicated in the specifications was entirely spent on the operating system, so in fact there is simply no memory) A 16 GB Micro-SD card was detected by the phone immediately. I put songs on the card, they all play without problems, but there are problems with the video, the resolution is too high for this display.

If you copy, then copy completely) The phone has a snake game, it’s funny that in the game section there is also a facebook application and an Opera Mini browser.

In your spare time, you can also play snake) It’s certainly not quite the same as it was in the good old days.

The notebook looks like this: Initially, various contact groups are created.

There were no problems with typing SMS messages, as well as receiving and displaying them.

There is a radio, it works without connecting headphones. Not all waves are caught perfectly; some begin to play without interference only if you take the phone in your hand. But most are caught and play quite normally. So you can use the radio and it’s also quite comfortable. The speaker volume is enough to use the phone outdoors and in noisy companies as a background.

I was also very pleased with the flashlight here, it shines quite decently.

In the dark, you can rely on him and he will help out in difficult times.

    PERFORMANCE

There's not much to talk about performance here. The phone is equipped with a single-core Spreadtrum 6531 processor with a frequency of 312 MHz, created using a 40nm process technology. It supports cameras with a resolution of up to 2 MP.
Link to the official website of the processor manufacturer:

Also installed are 32 MB of RAM and 32 MB of internal memory. As for the built-in memory, I already said above, it simply isn’t there, it’s all used up for the operating system. In general, the filling is enough for work, the phone does not lag and you don’t have to wait for a long time for this or that menu item to open, as was the case, say, in the Siemens of old.

It was not possible to warm up the phone while playing snake)) Therefore, I had to use extreme measures! I turned on the flashlight for half an hour! And only when it was working did the case heat up even a little, to almost 33 degrees Celsius. Looking ahead, the flashlight here is cool)

    WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY

Of the wireless technologies, this device only has Bluetooth version 2.0. Other phones find the VKworld Z3310 quickly, there are no problems with pairing.

Files are both transferred and received without problems. Only there is a nuance, only one at a time! There is no way to select multiple files and transfer them.

I even wanted to check and try connecting a Bluetooth headset to the phone, but to no avail. Modern gadgets are not friendly with such a device) Android or iOS, give it a bluetooth version of 4.0

The phone supports only 2G networks and operates at frequencies of 850/900/1800/1900 MHz. During a conversation, the interlocutor hears me well, the microphone is certainly not of super quality, but there are no problems with speech transmission. Some extraneous noise is audible if you use the phone on a noisy street, i.e. There is either no noise suppression here, or it suppresses noise weakly. This is not critical; you don’t have to ask your interlocutor what you said again. I also have no difficulty understanding the speech of the person on the other end of the line. In general, as a dialer, the phone shows itself confidently, the network picks up well.

    CAMERA

There is only one camera here, the manufacturer claims a resolution of 2 megapixels, what kind of module is unknown. In fact, the pictures have a resolution of 1280 by 960, which is 1.23 megapixels. I'll say right away that the camera here is terrible. It takes pictures worse than even the FRONT cameras of modern ultra-budget Chinese smartphones.

    Sample pictures

The phone shoots video in 3gp format with a resolution of 320p. It is also of terrible quality... The camera module here is installed more for show: “just so it is.” It would be interesting to look at the camera of the original Nokia 3310.

    BATTERY

The manufacturer claims that the phone has a 1450mAh battery and should last for two weeks in standby mode.

It charges at a voltage of 5.3V and a current of 0.4A. As charging progresses, the current decreases.

The final result shown by the tester was 1546mah. Full charging time was 3.5 hours.

From experience, I can say that the phone in dialer/radio/snake mode is enough for 6-7 days of use. In my opinion, the result is not bad. In standby mode, it will probably last the stated two weeks.

    SOUND

The external speaker of the phone is of impressive size. It's loud enough, but not the best quality. At maximum volume, wheezing and crackling noises are heard. If you reduce the volume to 70-80%, then they go away, while the sound remains quite loud and pleasant to the ear. So it's not all bad.

Video comparison of the VKWorld Z3310 and HTC 10 speakers. The manufacturer boasts that a class K amplifier is used. In fact, after googling a little, it turned out that there is no class K in the classification of amplifiers. Marketing ploy)

But listening to music with headphones is impossible here; the sound is transmitted with crackling noise and interference. The same problem was observed with VKWorld Stone V3S, and since then, alas, it has not been fixed in any way.

    DISASSEMBLY

At the bottom of the case we see the inscription: “Do not disassemble.” Challenge accepted!

Disassembly was done using a Xiaomi Wowstick 1fs screwdriver. I think I'll write a review on it later.

Next, the board is held on with double-sided tape; I did not tear it off.

    OTHER

Although the manufacturer does not claim that the phone case is shock-resistant, it’s a shame they won’t crack nuts))

    RESULT

    PROS:

    Low price
    - Separate slots for SIM cards/memory cards
    - Design, although borrowed
    - Autonomy of work
    - Excellent flashlight

    MINUSES:

    Firmware (translation problems, fonts, etc.)
    - Terrible camera
    - Virtual absence of built-in memory (either buy a memory card, or use standard ringtones)
    - Sound in headphones
    - Lack of 3G (since there are plans by operators to disable 2G networks)

The VKWorld Z3310 phone came out nice-looking and with a pleasing price. On pre-order, this device could be purchased for only $9.99, but now the price is $20. VKWorld costs almost three times less than the updated Nokia 3310! But the functionality and characteristics plus/minus are the same. Comparing these two phones, due to the price, VKWorld looks preferable; it also has a powerful flashlight) It is perfect for grandparents/little children due to its simplicity, and breaking it, if something happens, will not be as bad as a smartphone. Also many can use the Z3310 as a work phone or as a second spare.

The phone's firmware is crude and has a number of "jambs", but they are not critical and do not affect the operation of the main functions of the phone, mainly: translation problems, "jumping" text and the illogicality of some menu items. Perhaps the manufacturer will fix them with firmware updates. The camera is installed here for show, the pictures it takes are worthless, it’s unlikely that anyone will use it at all. You won’t be able to put an mp3 on a call until you insert a memory card, because the built-in memory is not enough even to trim a song. Listening to music on headphones is not about this phone; no one will listen to music with crackling and distortion.

However, there are a number of positive aspects. The phone has two separate slots for SIM cards and a memory card; each SIM card can have its own ringtone. I’m also pleased with the autonomy of the work, the phone lasts for a week of “active” use, if this term can be applied to this phone, because you can’t surf the Internet comfortably with it)) The flashlight here is excellent, Nokia 3310 never dreamed of this) FM radio that works without connecting headphones, you can use it outdoors or in a noisy company thanks to the loud speaker.

Overall the phone made a positive impression and in my opinion is worth the money. The original Nokia 3310, judging by the reviews, offers potential buyers plus/minus everything the same as the copy, but the body dimensions are more miniature. Surely the firmware will be without jambs. The camera shoots a little better, but it’s still terrible in Nokia. As a pure dialer, I have no complaints at all about the VKWorld Z3310. The bright colors of the Z3310 exude positivity, and the design evokes nostalgic feelings about the old days of feature phones. After all, there was something in them that was lost in the appearance of today’s “shovels.” Of course, push-button devices cannot compete with smartphones, but they still find their niche in the market even now. It would be nice to add support for 3G networks to the phone, because operators are already talking about turning off 2G in the future, because 3G has already covered 94% of the Republic of Belarus, where 99% of the inhabitants live, and there is less and less sense in using old networks.

I tried to be objective and maybe I could help someone in choosing (or, on the contrary, dissuading them from buying) an inexpensive dialer. Thank you in advance for your likes and am ready to answer any questions you may have in the comments; I may have missed something.

HMD Global remake of the famous Nokia 3310 was still at the MWC 2017 exhibition in Barcelona, but the new product will go on sale only in the coming weeks. This time was enough for nameless Chinese manufacturers to successfully clone the reincarnation of the legend. The model appeared in Malaysia as S-Mobile S331 and costs about $37, however, there are already people willing to sell a copy under the guise of the original.

    What is the difference?

The counterfeit can be easily distinguished from the original (right)

From the back, the clone is very similar to the Nokia 3310, but from the front it is given away by thicker screen frames. The diagonal is exactly the same at 2.4 inches, but the Chinese device is a centimeter higher. In a direct comparison, the interface that is typical for such devices immediately catches your eye, which is not at all similar to the S30+ platform. The buttons are also different: on the copy they are slightly narrower, and the inscriptions are in a dark font. The battery capacity is 1500 mAh, although in the case of handicraft production, battery life cannot be predicted. The 0.8 MP camera was left rather for greater resemblance to the real Nokia 3310 version of 2017.

The new Nokia 3310 is more expensive than its analogues, but potential buyers are well aware of this and, most likely, will turn to official sellers. In this situation, the chances of running into a fake are minimal.

Many years ago, this model of mobile phone was a real hit - as simple as possible and as reliable as possible, it served its owner faithfully for many years. They could hammer nails, drop them on the asphalt or into the dirt, and nothing would be done to them. The French company Lekki, specializing in the production of replicas, has decided to resume production of these phones to the delight of everyone who is ready to wax nostalgic about the irretrievably gone years of the beginning of the third millennium.

The company has taken a thorough approach to making a new or old phone: today there are phone models on sale in as many as five colors, as well as adapters for Micro- and Nano SIM cards, which are already a standard today, but previously were ordinary.

It costs retro, as can be seen in the picture from the Lekki online store - 98 euros, which in rubles is approximately 4,700 rubles. + delivery cost. Not cheap at all, considering that the simplest modern phone today can be bought for 700 - 900 rubles. But Nokia 3310 is not a simple phone, it was simple and popular 10 years ago, today it is an antique - for an amateur and a connoisseur. This pleasure comes at a price.

By the way, on the phone you can only make calls, send SMS and play the most primitive game Snake, there is no connection to the Internet here - there was no mobile Internet during the reign of the Nokia 3310. But you will have a phone that, without exaggeration, no one in your circle has!

Counterfeits of an updated version of the once popular Nokia 3310 (2017) mobile phone have already been discovered in China.

As you know, version Nokia 3310 (2017) with a modified design and expanded functionality was presented during the MWC 2017 congress. The phone goes on sale at a price of 49 euros and counterfeits have already been identified on the Chinese market.

Fake Nokia 3310 (2017) in the photo

As you can see in the photo, the fake (on the left) has significant differences from the original. Initially, the dull color of the case catches the eye. Next, there is a difference in the screen. For example, in the original Nokia 3310 (2017) the “Menu” is located in the middle, and in the fake it is on the left. The image quality in the copy is worse, and the fonts are different.

Another difference is the keyboard. The fake Nokia 3310 (2017) has smaller buttons and black letters and numbers (the original phone has a silver font).

These differences should help those wishing to buy the Nokia 3310 (2017) figure out whether the phone is a fake or whether the seller is offering the original.

By the way, not bad Nokia 6 price offered on AliExpress. If interested, then go
